7-26-24: My 25th finished book of 2024! Siracusa is a town in Sicily where our 4 narrators travel together one summer. Taylor and Finn and their daughter Snow, and Lizzie and Michael. The four adults tell this story from all their points of view and not one of them is likable. As they travel around Italy and finally Siracusa their stories becomes more intense, their hatred for one another more palpable. The final act was a surprise.

7-21-24: My 24th finished book of 2024! Book 7 in the Girl with the Dragon Tattoo series. Finished on the plane ride back from Florida to Philly. This was ok. Not Steig Larsson great but I was able to get through it. His first 3 books were amazing. The next 3 by David Lagercrantz were pretty good too, but this was one felt forced. It‘s always good to welcome Lisbeth Salander back. And to visit with Michel Blomkvist, as well.

After learning of a treachery, Lana, a retired famous movie star, invites her closest friends to her island in Greece. As our narrator becomes more unreliable we learn through many twists that things are not what they seem. ⭐️⭐️⭐️📖#️⃣2️⃣2️⃣

7-7-24: My 21st finished book of 2024! What a bizarre story. When Belle learns her mother has passed she flies to California from her home in Montreal to take care of her mother, Noelle‘s, home and business. Noelle has left a lot for Belle to uncover. One thing being the spa like mansion on the cliff that sold Noelle all the jars of creams lining her walls. It‘s a story about mothers and daughters but also about the price of beauty.

5-27-24: My 15th finished book of 2024! Number 10 in the Tales of the City series. And what a surprise to have a new book with this cast of characters. I‘ve been reading this series since o found it as a teen in the 90s and I‘ve re-read it often. Barbary Lane in San Francisco in the 70s was an immediate draw for me. This one takes place in England at Mona‘s Easley House. It‘s the 90s and some of my favorites like Anna and Michael return. 💖

3-30-24: My 7th book of 2024! I picked this book up at a book swap because I loved the cover. I wound up loving the story too. Sam and Sadie are childhood friends who bond in a hospital over a video game. Through a series of events they reconnect as young adults in colleges in the same city, far from where they grew up, and they bond again over a video game, this time making one instead of playing one. I loved following these characters.

It was very predictable and a little boring because of the predictability.⭐️⭐️⭐️📖#️⃣4️⃣
