I loved the setting of this and the premise (Sea witches! Shipwrecks! Sunken treasure!) but it fell flat for me. Mari's storyline was better developed so I enjoyed it more and I admired her. Haven's story should have been full of adventure & romance and it was, -ish. But I feel like we only got the outline of her story: she only went diving once before being betrayed by her dad's buddy & her employers, and I felt like a lot more should have been

bookandbedandtea ... done with that. I did like the research she did in the archives and how she put together the pieces of the Aquila wreck and the discovery of Holmes' sea journal to figure out what was going on with that piece of water- then and now. But I still feel like her part was too rushed and not fleshed out enough. 4d

This story took a long time to pick up and I almost bailed on it. All the boat and scuba speak in the beginning was really boring to me. Once the story picked up it was interesting. There were alternating stories happening at the same time between three characters that intertwined into one story. I really liked the idea of the story as I‘ve never read anything like it. This one was 4 stars for me. I love the recipes at the end!

To me this book started out kind of slow. I didn't have a hard time putting it down. It was good. It was very interesting. There are a couple of stories going on and finding how they relate was interesting. For the most part I was lost for a while. When it did pick up though I enjoyed it.

This was her best book of the three. This tale provided escapism to Positano, magic, romance, friendship, historical fiction, and intrigue peppered with karma. What is not to love? The research was evident, and the characters are interesting and alluring.

Well, this was a nice story to satisfy my lust for a little armchair traveling to the Italian coast. I was immediately intrigued by the current day setting with a couple badass female deep sea divers. I wasn‘t convinced the sea witches of 1821 were going to pull me in, but stregheria did it and both timelines had me equally invested.
