#WhereAreYouMonday

I find myself in Canada today. I‘ve just started the inaugural #OhCanada read. New author for me and the first couple chapters are promising, though I know it‘s also going to make me sad.

Prairiegirl_reading Richard Wagamese is one of my favourite authors! I have not read this one but I‘ve read a number of his others and I think I‘ve rated them all 5 stars. I hope you enjoy it. And yes have the tissues ready. 4d
Ruthiella @Prairiegirl_reading Thanks for the heads up on the tissues! I will try to prepare myself. 4d
BiblioLitten I‘m starting this too! I was in Kamchatka Peninsula and am just about to start Wagamese! 4d

Lucy works at the Columbus zoo with a troop of gorillas. She is incredibly excited to see them featured on a docuseries hosted by Kai Bridges, the (Steve Irwin-esque) son of her primatologist idol. But her first meeting with Kai doesn't go so well...

#WhereAreYouMonday

I am in Siberia with Moritz Daniecki, a fugitive from a POW camp. We have to cross 7,000 kilometres over the Russian Steppes to reach his village and his sweetheart, whose memory has kept him alive through carnage and captivity.

The other half of the book is set in Ecuador so I‘m quite busy 😀

DogMomIrene Earning frequent flyer miles, I hope🤞🏼😂 4d
Ruthiella Siberia to Ecuador! That‘s quite a journey. 4d

#WhereAreYouMonday @Cupcake12

In the country of Aguillon, in a town near the mountains, where two elves try to help the just appointed new duke (former cow-herd) with a mountain troll problem.

Funny, queer, D&D like, adventure story with 🌶️

#WhereAreYouMonday

I‘m mainly in Long Bennington in Lincolnshire off the Great North Road where Margaret Drabble‘s maternal grandparents had a tea house and lodging during her childhood. This is a gentle, introspective memoir, focusing mainly on one favorite aunt, but also quite meandering.

LeahBergen Well, this sounds fascinating! 2w
Ruthiella @LeahBergen It‘s a bit of a hodgepodge so far, but if you like Drabble as an author, I‘d recommend it. 2w
readingjedi ...with jigsaws?!? I'm stacking! 🧩🧩🧩 2w
Ruthiella @readingjedi Jigsaws do come up because they were a shared activity between Drabble and her aunt. But it‘s not the focus of the book, alas. I also love jigsaw puzzles 🧩! 2w
