Taiwanese graphic novelist and illustrator Jimmy Liao writes these short and emotional stories. His most famous may be A Chance of Sunshine which was made into a movie called Turn Left, Turn Right (which is the Chinese name of the book). I love his whimsical illustrations and the somewhat melancholy feel of his graphic novels.

I love Jimmy Liao's work. His stories are simple and often a bit wistful. And his whimsical illustrations are gorgeous! This page is from Missing My Cat (not listed on Litsy) and the text can be translated as: have you seen a little cat with blue spots? It's my beloved cat and it's lost.
