My kids loved this series, this being number 8,. It was fun to revisit the old gang in this one. #ISpyBingoJuly @TheAromaofBooks

These are just fun little mysteries that are appropriate for all ages. In this installment, the children and their grandfather spend the summer renting a lighthouse. A mystery presents itself when the family dog begins barking each night at midnight. Alden children to the rescue!

Throwing in this quickie read as a mental break before starting something spooky when the sun goes down! This will cross off the ‘start and finish a book‘ for #deweys24hourreadathon bingo board!

I loved the Boxcar Children series as a kid and loved the idea of renting a lighthouse for the summer, especially one where mysterious happenings occur on a nightly basis and a mystery needs to be solved. Still haven't fulfilled that goal yet but it's always in the back of my mind. In the meantime, a visit to Cape Hatteras lighthouse every few years will have to suffice. #lighthouses #marchintoreading
