This is beyond frustrating/devastating/inexcusable. It has been bad enough that they have pretty much dismantled the civil rights division for the OSE. This is just another FU to parents of disabled children. You can‘t administer the law that abides IEPs & 504 Plans if you‘ve fired everyone. I know that this is a developing story but wanted to put it out there to call your reps please. This is Eugenics. #ranttime

Karisa Just wrong— targeting the people who need the most help. Our leadership is doing everything to hurt people instead of help (all while pretending this is normal and moral) 😢😵‍💫 1mo
IriDas FDT and F all people in that party and all the religious people who back him. Hateful, greedy people. Just happy to make life worse for the most vulnerable, aren‘t they? (edited) 1mo

CBee Well, shit. I hadn‘t heard about this. I wish I had words but I‘m just sad and stressed. 1mo
ncsufoxes Not to mention a few weeks ago they gutted most of the services for blind & deaf students because they were considered too DEI. Once they made DEI taboo, it was easy to start to gut anything for disabled people because disability needs inclusion. Unless you want to shut out an entire population & make them nonexistent…which is what they‘re trying to do step by step. Disability Rights are Civil Rights. 1mo

Bookwomble Our right wing "Labour" party is seeking to do similar things - not as extensive or as in your face as the Republicans, but the impetus is the same: if you are not assessed as an effective unit of production, we will not "waste" resources on you. 1mo
Bookwomble Sorry, by "our" I mean British, and, in this case, by"British" I mean English, as the other nations of the UK tend to at least try to be more progressive. 1mo
