I was considering joining a new local chess club. I feel like chess is something I SHOULD be good at, but disappointingly, I never quite got the strategy.

TobeyTheScavengerMonk Same here. I love to play but I'm rubbish at it. 8y

Thinking of #GamingintheLitWorld, I recalled Gahan of Gathol from the Chessmen of Mars. He was captured & forced to play Jetan (Martian chess) with a twist: he & his men were the pieces in a fight to the death. Chessmen is one of the better Barsoom books, but my copy has an #uglycover! Jetan made me think of wizard chess from HP & quidditch, of course! I always thought it would be cool to see McGonagall play - just imagine it! #OctPhotoChallenge

Texreader She'd be awesome! 8y
