Finished the last book in the King and Maxwell Series, which is strangely titled King and Maxwell! I have to say whilst this is book 6 I think it is one of the best in the series. Please David Baldacci you do need to write more in this series as not ready to see the back of this series yet. King and Maxwell are quite complex individuals and I need to know how their lives turn out! This series is definitely worth a read.

I'm starting the last book (at least currently) in the King and Maxwell Series by David Baldacci as part of a Group Read, I do wonder how this series will end and whether it is left with scope for another book in the series.

Bluebird Will start tonight! I have both the book and audio on loan so I hope to keep up with the group. I'm looking forward to spending time with King and Maxwell. I've come to like them more and more with each book of the series. 7y
Andrew65 @Bluebird Funnily enough I also have the book and audio version. Will be interested to see how Michelle's near death experience will affect her and their relationship. 7y
Bluebird @Andrew65 I'm enjoying the audio on this one more than the prior books. The narrator for Michelle is really good! (edited) 7y

Andrew65 @Bluebird Is it Orlagh Cassidy as I find she always does a good job (she is the female narrator on mine) and have had experience of her on the Amos Decker books. Have you listened to the others in the series? 7y
CrowCAH Totally just spam liked your account! Helping one pirate to another! 😉☠️ 7y
Andrew65 @CrowCAH Shiver my timbers. All help gratefully received! 👻☠️🙊 7y
Bluebird @Andrew65 Yes, it's Orlagh Cassidy. She's wonderful. Most of the other books in this series that I partially or fully read on audio were narrated by Scott Brick. He's ok, but not a favorite of mine. 7y
Andrew65 @Bluebird I've had experience of Scott Brick through the Steve Berry books and he is not my favourite. 7y
Bluebird @andrew65. Yes, he's too monotone for me. He also tends to...draw...things...out. Sadly he seems to narrate a number of our group read books. 7y

David Baldacci is always entertaining. I just feel like this particular book felt a bit empty. The characters weren't growing or changing and the plot could have been better.
