This series just gets better with each book. Cadderly has grown, from naive scholar to a welder of major magical power. I like how Salvatore has developed the relationship between Cadderly and Danica. At first she was protective of him, trying to shield him from the horrors of war, but as he's grown more powerful, she's come to see he can stand on his own. On to Book 4: The Fallen Fortress. 4 💥💥💥💥
