I didn't think this could possibly live up to @redwing605 review. Damn. I couldn't have been more wrong. This officially stands as some of the best fantasy I've ever read. Amazing prose, fantastic world building, and a cast that is impossible not to love. Read. This. Book!

Well, I was a little wrong. A few small, loose ends had to be tied up. While it might have been a little excessive (most of the book is played out in fight scenes), it's not that bad of an epilogue. Now, onto other series!

A novel of fascinating ideas, but the short story centric structure and lack of enjoyable characters make it a bit of a slog. It's an important novel, and I'm glad I read it...but I don't see myself returning to it.

The fourth tale of Cadderly finishes an excellent story with a suitably exciting conclusion. It's not as emotionally fulfilling as Night Masks, but it concluded the war.

Except there is a fifth book. I don't know what can be done next...

I'm regretting not reading this series more and more with every book.

Still stellar writing and humor in one of the greatest scifi series ever written.

Another wonderful entry in the Cleric Chronicles shows Cadderly dealing with the fallout of Canticle. I actually enjoyed this one more than the first book of the series, partially because the majority of the cast isn't disabled for a large portion of the book like Canticle. Looking forward to Night Masks.

Reusing my photo from Ember. A great sequel, but in ways, a better book than the first. It starts out by pummeling you, setting high stakes for the rest of the novel, and then eases back and let's the characters take full control until the satisfying ending. No cliffhanger this time either, which means that after two of these books, I'm okay with moving onto something else.

A solid entry in the Forgotten Realms. Cadderly is a great character, and I can't wait to spend more time exploring his particular set of tales.

I don't usually read YA, but I picked this one up due to her involvement with Worldbuilders. I have no regret. It's a excellent book, filled to the brim with tension that remains palpable as it twists it's way to conclusion. Looking forward to reading the sequel, which I picked up at a signing last night.

My review isn't exactly fair. It's actually a great book, featuring almost all that we've come to know and love about Martin's writing. Unfortunately, it never really clicked for me, so I didn't enjoy it as much as I'd liked.

I had not read this since 8th grade, and taking the journey again was magnificent.

Not Reynolds best book. It's trying to juggle a lot, and never keeps everything in line. There's about 200 pages of really good reading in here and a decent setup. The problem is the other two hundred pages where there's a lot of exposition. Check out Century Rain instead.

After months of ignoring it and letting it collect dust next to my bed, I'm back to this Alistair Reynolds novel that features all of the niche sci fi settings you can think of in one world.

Beautiful prose and a realistic depiction of a hopeless society fill every page of this superb novel. Those coming from the film adaptation as I did have a story that's only similar to that of the film. Both are brilliant, though, and I'm thrilled that I finally took the journey through the book.

I recently reviewed this book on the Z-Trigger podcast. Dini writes a painful autobiographical account of his assault and mugging in the early nineties when working on Batman: The Animated series. The art is as varied and beautiful as it difficult to look at. I'll say little else. It's a journey worth taking.
