I think out of all the main Chrestomanci books this was my favorite by far. We get to see Cat in action now that he is aware of his own powers and out from his sister's shadow. I love with these books that there's always a new kind of magic to be discovered and that magic is as unique as the person wielding it. And of course there were some completely charming animals getting into antics.

Sierra and I are starting something light tonight. I only just realized that for the last month I‘ve been calling this the pinhoLe egg. Brains are weird man.

I read this when I was in the range of 17-19, past the target age group but I LOVED it. I actually hadn't read the other books in the series, either, and was inspired to check them out! This book struck me as a perfect #egg entry for #AcrossApril! @Eggs #fantasy #gryphon
