pickMy #AdventuresinYA is something I'm going to start to keep track of all the YA books I love to read, good or bad. This one mixes magic, Greek mythology, and high school drama. It has pretty overdone plot points (love triangles, chosen one), but I enjoyed it nonetheless for an easy read. I look forward to the rest in the series! 😸
I woke up at 2:40 this morning and couldn't get back to sleep so I decided to read Just Listen by Sarah Dessen until I felt sleepy again. I don't typically pick up contemporary fiction. I tend to gravitate towards supernatural, horror, or SciFi. However, this is the book club pick for the #AdventuresInYA podcast.
I'm really enjoying her writing so far and the story has drawn me in! If I feel the same way when I've finished, I may pick up more. 😀
