Started my second book for #ChunksterChallenge2024. This one is only in the almost a chunkster category at 515 pages. That said it‘s quite small print and a lot of words on each page so feels much bigger than a 500+ page book. @Amiable

This is the first Jack McEvoy book, and the fifth book in the #BoschUniverseSeries. #SeriesLove2024 @TheSpineView

Amiable Do you have a mass market paperback? You can use the hardcover edition page total to count towards the challenge. I usually default to the hardcover page count no matter what format I‘m reading because it is the “original” (in my head, that is. 😀) 4mo

Andrew65 @AnnCrystal I thought most new books were getting bigger print, but this is an older book. I often read up to sixty pages an hour but on this one I am barely managing 40 pages an hour. 4mo

Andrew65 @DieAReader In the Universe Series it comes between book 4 and 5 in the original Bosch Series. I am reading all the books in Universe Series order.

True. It takes me longer to get through a page with small print. I will have to pay attention when purchasing, and I hope there are not many of these already in my Library.

I do hope new books keep to the larger print. 4mo

Andrew65 @AnnCrystal Sounds a good plan. My wife is a much slower reader than me. When we did an exercise at school with staff looking at the speed we all read at, it is amazing the different speeds people read at. Quite the range. I know @Tove_Reads is a much faster reader than me from a previous conversation we had. (edited) 4mo

AnnCrystal @Andrew65 now that's interesting. I've always been a sluggish reader... oddly, unless the story completely captures me and demands otherwise 😂. When I was a teenager, I use to gobble up Amelia Atwater-Rhodes new books in 24 hours. Then again, to compare, around the same time, it took me about a week or two to read a new installment of the Sweep Series... (edited) 4mo
