This was an interesting Miss Marple mystery. A string of hateful letters in a village lead to a suicide, but maybe it's a murder after all? I liked the main character Jerry Burton, who is new to small town life and shocked by the proceedings. He reminded me a bit of Poirot's Captain Hastings, eager to solve the mystery but a bit in over his head

November #SeasonalCozies and #DoubleSpin

This cozy series is just so much fun to read. The characters, the setting and weaving funny with serious issues are all so well done.

Yesterday I finished The Mafia Prince's Baby and started The Sugar Queen for the #AuthorAMonth challenge. @Soubhiville

Currently sitting at 265 books read for the year. Still want to make it to 300. Would also like to reach 2,500 hours. That is a new goal for me. I want to end the year on a bang. 🤞

DieAReader 🤓📚Excellent!!! You‘re doing awesome💕 2d
TheSpineView @DieAReader Thanks! It will close on these goals. 2d

After the intro to the Lincoln Knights in Drama Queen, I had to check out the newest series exploring more characters from the rugby team. Mason explores his newfound bisexuality as friends with benefits with his roommate after walking in on Ryan jerking off and staying for a show. Their friendship was fun to watch grow into more, especially as they shared other sides of their personalities as well, learning sport rules and playing DnD
Cont ⬇️

peanutnine Ryan identified as a demiboy and used he/they pronouns interchangeably & I thought the rep was handled well. I also snagged a free short story about the head coach of the team, and his love story back in the 90s. #SeriesLove2024 @Andrew65 @TheSpineView 2d

A prequel to the Agatha Raisin series (#SeriesLove2024) that is set as Agatha begins her PR business. It was okay and like many novella struggled to truly tell the story. Not at all necessary to reading the rest of the series.

TheSpineView Well done! 2d
Andrew65 Read the whole series but not read this short story. 2d
Mollyanna @TheSpineView Thanks 😊 2d
Mollyanna @Andrew65 I wouldn‘t bother reading the short stories, it didn‘t really add anything. I‘m glad it was short. Good to see you back on Litsy 😊 2d
Andrew65 @Mollyanna Thanks 😍, trying to get some normality and order back. I often feel this way about short stories - just not enough depth to them, and not usually a fan. 1d

Books 1 & 2 in this cozy holiday series. I took the advice of several others and read these vs listening to them. I found them to be quick and cute. The FMC is quirky and likable. I may choose the Christmas book for my December #SeasonalCozies read.

I could relate to Iris and some of her feelings made me cry. Roman was cute and I felt for him too - I always hate when someone is trying to tell you how you should live your life.

I loved the beginning, it was intriguing. But overall I think there could have been more worldbuilding. There were some super cool things and I would have loved to get more of them. There were some parts in the middle of the book that dragged a bit.

I love the interconnected world that Charlie has built with her stories. This new series connects Eli's drag friend Rory from the Court with West, Theo's brother in Heather Bay. While the romance is adorable & low angst, there are still some heavy themes. Rory deals with pushback for planning to perform a drag story hour. West has to learn to stand up for himself against homophobic microaggressions from his toxic masculine rugby team

Finished this a while ago with the #littensloveromance group. I enjoyed it immensely. Very character-driven, which I don't mind, but I was waiting for the other shoe to drop and something to happen to ruin their idyllic holiday, which never really did. Solid found family vibes, looking forward to the next Earl's story when it comes out next May.
