pickGrandin does an excellent job going over the history of autism diagnosis, sharing her own autism experiences, and discussing ways to approach autism. I wasn‘t always a fan of some of her leaps and generalizations, or of her assumption that autistic people (anyone, really) must be useful and productive. pickAn absolutely fun urban fantasy, and it takes place in Denver! I really enjoyed the characters in this book, and the plot is a ton of fun. I love the magic, the spirit realm, and the overlaps between normal life and Adam‘s magic one. This book has an excellent pace, an adorable romance, and perfectly placed hilarity to break up the serious. I usually love Carol Berg books (Cate Glass is a pen name she uses sometimes), but occasionally I'll find one like this one that just didn't work for me.
