Bailedbailed

I started this as part of a buddy read then put it down. When I tried to pick it back up today, I just didn‘t want to continue. The first story is a superb critique of navigating racist society as a black man. After that, it gets…weird. And not in a good way. So I‘m calling it at the halfway mark.

@Cinfhen and @TrishB bailed much more decisively than I did. 😬

Librariana Oh no! And I bought this one, too! 😔 Can't say I'll be reading it any time soon, but I'll share my thoughts/feelings when I get to it. 4y
Hooked_on_books @Librariana I‘ll be interested to hear what you think. It was blurbed by Roxane Gay and heavily promoted by Powell‘s, so I had high expectations. Hopefully you love it. 4y
BookishMarginalia I flat out passed on this one 🤷🏻‍♀️ 4y

Soubhiville Wow, I really liked this one. It is strange, but I was into it for the most part. 4y
