#SeasonsReadings2016 Day 16 - Fave Jane Austen Retellings
This is actually the only retelling of Pride and Prejudice that I've read, and I came to it after watching (and adoring) the film. I'm interested to see what other retellings My fellow Littens mention; maybe I'll have something to add to the ol' TBR.

thegirlwiththelibrarybag I never thought of this as a P&P retelling, although now you mention it - it's obvious! 8y
ReadingEnvy The author had seen Colin Firth as Darcy and wrote Mark Darcy based on him... and then he played the character in the movie! Perfect. 8y
MelissaS Look into Eligible, by Curtis Sittenfeld. I enjoyed the audiobook this summer! 8y

Kristio I'm not a huge fan of retellings, but P&P adjacent stories are great! Anything by Elizabeth Asten, Georgiana Darcy's Diary, and Longbourne are all some of my favorites! 8y
AThousandLives87 I've actually never even read the original!!! Much less any retellings!!! 😞 8y
Leniverse I loved the original and disliked the retelling. Not planning on reading any other retellings or sequels, including Bridget Jones sequels. 8y
vicgreentoriafield Not a P&P retelling but "Dear Mr. Knightley" by Katherine Reay was a really cute Austen-Inspired story 8y
ReviewsandReadathons I haven't read it yet, but I'm looking forward to reading 8y
Eligible: A Modern Retelling of Pride and Prejudice
SusaninTX I liked the movie better than the book version of this one. 8y
Zelma @SusaninTX I totally agree with you. Book was ok, bordering on kind of annoying. Love the movie so much. 8y
SarahSDavis I think I reread this book maybe once every few years. Love Bridget Jones and Helen Fielding's sharp satirical skills. 8y
