One of the few memoirs I've reread is this one, about an American's experience of living in the UK - making observations about the cultural, linguistic, and attitudinal differences between the British and Americans. This book was published a few decades ago, being updated recently by his THE ROAD TO LITTLE DRIBBLING

I recommend this memoir to anyone who will listen! It takes place in the "seven good years" between the birth of the author's son during a terrorist attack and the death of his father from cancer. A lyrical book that has hints of the movie, "Life is Beautiful". He finds the humor and profundity in everyday life.
