Only 3 books completed in March, but they were good ones! It‘s difficult to pick a favourite because I loved them all for different reasons. I‘m also enjoying The Tenant of Wildfell Hall & think it could make its way onto my favourites list. #FavoritesofMarch #LiteraryLuck

Most of my books were with the kids this month because the tagged book is huge at 766 pages. I still have about 200 pages but hope to get it done in the next couple of days. #FavoritesOfMarch #MarchReads

Pickpick

In 1890s #SanFrancisco, Phoebe Smith is committed to Goldengrove asylum. Younger sister, Charlotte, blames herself & devises a rescue plan. Macallister masterfully weaves Greek Muses, romantic intrigue, & #historical detail prompting reflection on how far we have come, yet how far we have to go to achieve justice and #equality for #women and for compassionate mental #healthcare. #FavoritesofMarch #LiteraryLuck @Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks @vkois88

This was a fun read for Women's History Month. It was interesting to step into a world where the power balance between the genders had swapped. The political & societal reactions especially prompted some deep thinking about today's current norms. I do feel this book was a little slow at points, but it was thought-provoking enough to make it worth the read.
