Although the ginge looks bored, I can assure you, I'm really intrigued by this novel so far. The opening chapters have been cloaked in mystery, and I'm not sure who to trust (unreliable narrator? unreliable everybody??) This is my 2nd book by Iain Reid and I knew I'm in for an amazing ride! This had the same bleak atmosphere as in his first novel I'm Thinking of Ending Things. It kept me on the edge and I absolutely couldn't put it down but unlike his first book the ending of this one was kind of predictable. I wish I hadn't guessed the end else I'd have enjoyed more. But overall it's a great sci-fi mind bender.
