Batman: The Dark Knight Returns by Frank Miller

I love how dark this version is. It gets pretty graphic at some points. I also like how it tells a tale of an older Batman which really wasn‘t told until this point. Can‘t forget the awesome artwork!

This is Frank Miller's retelling of the Batman origin story. It's well thought through, and the artwork adds depth to the story.

There's no villains in this one. It's just an introduction to Bruce Wayne and how he became Batman.
