I‘m posting one book a day from my massive collection. No description, no reason for why I want to read it (some I‘ve had so long I don‘t even remember why!). Feel free to join in!

March was the month I re-fell in love with Hornblower, and rattled through the first three books in the series. These really are cracking reads still. First fell in love with these books as a teenager, 40 years later I loved them all over again.
Great continued part 2 of Captain Hornblower trilogy. Has humor and battles with French and their allies. Ends with a kind of cliffhanger.
I've started another book in the Hornblower series that I have not read yet. I also really like the Patrick O'Brian series.
Great historical sea adventure with Capt. Hornblower and a dictator, El Supremo, in Central America. I had read about 4 of these novels in Jr. High and High School, but I never read this one, which is actually the first one that was written but not in chronological order of the stories. Love it.
The Hornblower books are more plot-driven than the Aubrey/Maturin books, which makes them fun to read. (Though I think O'Brian to be the better writer.) Hornblower does develop a bromance in this book, but it is nothing like Aubrey/Maturin.
Hornblower is a political animal, but also a warrior. Both serve him well in the Napoleonic Wars and the British Navy.

An excellent first day on the #AwesomeApril Readathon.
One book completed and good chunks of to others. Altogether 674 pages read (174 ahead of schedule) and 11 hrs 38 mins reading time.
I‘m starting off the #AwesomeApril Readathon aboard ship with Hornblower in The Happy Return. This is book 6 in the Hornblower series and read the previous 5 in the past month.
Good luck everybody. Have fun!
Another wonderful book in the Hornblower Series, as great a read as when I read it 40 years ago. Although this is only the third book in the series in chronological order apparently it was the last full one C S Forester wrote before dying. Do recommend this series if you enjoy nautical books.
3rd book finished for #20in4 Readathon. Took me to 19 1/2 hours.
End of Day 3 of #20in4 Readathon. Read 375 pages and read for 7 hours 9 mins, although didn‘t finish any books.
Altogether finished 2 books, read for 18 hours 37 minutes, and read a total of 896 pages.
