‘They found the town silent, apparently abandoned.
But the terror had only begun in the tiny mountain town of Snowfield, California.‘
I bought this years ago and just finally got around to reading it. One of the best books I‘ve read by Dean Koontz.

Just started this yesterday, I'm excited to try it out 😄I am new to Dean Koontz
Bringing back an author I used to read with the Odd Thomas series. This is book 2. I adored book 1, but this one was flat for me. I think this is a transition book, so I will read the next. I had difficulty buying into this story and the ghosts that populated the first were largely absent. This was a different crime to solve with another psycho, but I found it tedious.
“An entire world hummed and bustled beyond the dark ramparts of the mountains, yet to Lindsay Harrison the night seemed empty, as hollow as the vacant chambers of a cold, dead heart.”
I did it, I made it through. That was my goal before I left on vacation. The concept is CREEPY; the fact that psychologists can manipulate the mind and take control. Parts of this bad boy DRAGGED for me and near the end I found myself skimming the big chunks to get to main points.
