Though I first heard of Carlton from the thousands of “Haunting Adeline” reviews, this was the first book I read of hers. To say I loved this read is a massive understatement. Not only are the spicy parts to die for, but the plot is incredibly thrilling. Yes, it is certainly questionable and morally concerning. There is a lot you need to be aware of before reading. Though if you‘re into this type of read, and love sharks, it‘s a must!!

What a wild read. It shows its age with the stereotypes and “not like other girls” comments. But once it veered into a paranormal setting, I was hooked. It's hardly my favorite read of this year, but sometimes I just need a guilty pleasure to keep my brain occupied.

How much trauma can one room fit? Well. Surprisingly enough to fit a whole 120 page book. This was a short read but for sure a hell of a ride to get through, not one minute made me go “Ugh.” I do recommend. I also have to add, content warning. So be prepared, be very prepared.

I don't really know what I was expecting diving into this book, but I was pleasantly surprised. I love the humor of this dark romance. I'm definitely going to continue on in the series.
