The beginning chapters and the last chapters were excellent. My interest wavered in the middle, but I am still glad I listened to this.

Becoming Mrs. Lewis: A Novel
so-so3 ⭐This book uses the idea of amusement park to discuss the various animals one would find in the ocean. It‘s interesting and educational. I really do like the illustrations however, as fantastic as they are I think they do little to service the information that‘s being portrayed. This book would have been better with real pictures of the real animals.
pickFound this interesting. Some of C.S. Lewis's arguments could be difficult to follow. While I might not agree with every point, I still found the book thought-provoking.
I've been working my way through this. Besides the "Narnia" series, it's the first C.S. Lewis book I've read.

I feel like every review of Lewis nonfiction for me could be the same: it takes some work, but it's worth it.
You can trust Lewis to build (and build and build) an argument in a way that is logical, philosophical, and tongue-in-cheek and then bring you to a conclusion that has you more sure than ever of Christ and God's goodness.
This book was written 84 years ago, but its message is timeless.
“Not many years ago when I was an atheist, if anyone had asked me, ‘Why do you not believe in God?‘ my reply would have run something like this: ‘Look at the universe we live in.‘”

pick⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️This isn‘t an easy book to read.It is classic C.S. Lewis nonfiction: a strong mix of philosophy, science, dry humor, and faith.I'm glad I read this with a group because if I had been reading it on my own, I would not have continued to fight my way through to understanding. That being said, I love the way Lewis constructs an argument. He will win me over with his logical reasoning every time.You'll have to work for it, but I recommend it.
Really enjoyed this biography of C. S. Lewis. Finished Jan 29, 2023.
