pickI really struggled with how to rate this one. The story was good, once it settled. This book has more issues than the one before, but I ended up enjoying the story of Sahvage and Mae. There was definitely a lot of psychological mess in this one. They both have massive baggage, but in the end they make it work. Ultimately, I did actually enjoy it. 👇🏻👇🏻👇🏻
GingerAntics I don‘t know if Ward was off her ADHD meds while writing this book, but it was crazy hard to follow with all the jumping around until about 1/3 to 1/2 way through when things seemed to settle into a rhythm similar to the other books in the series. 👇🏻👇🏻👇🏻 (edited) 2y
GingerAntics The last book had “snowflake” and now this book has a “Karen.” Is it meant to be cute? Is she trying to prove she‘s up with pop culture? I don‘t get it, and I wish it would stop, honestly. “Natch” as an ending to a sentence for any and every reason started a few books back and now, quite frankly, it can be used as an example of why you switch up word choice in creative writing courses around the world. It‘s gotten old and annoying. 2y
