Chloe Davis was twelve, six teenage girls went missing in her small Louisiana town. By the end of the summer, Chloe‘s father had been arrested as a serial killer and promptly put in prison. Chloe is a psychologist in private practice in Baton Rouge and getting ready for her wedding. Then a local teenage girl goes missing, and then another, and that terrifying summer comes crashing back.

EadieB Is she paranoid, and seeing parallels that aren't really there, or for the second time in her life, is she about to unmask a killer? This debut novel was an interesting book and had me guessing all the way through. I thought I knew who the killer was but had to finish the book in order to find out if I was right. I kept changing my mind but in the end it turned out to be who I thought it was. 13mo
EadieB With lots of twists and turns I felt confused at first but really knew who it was. I like the way the author kept me on the edge of my seat throughout the book. Well done, Stacy! If you like twisty thrillers then you would love this book. 13mo
darklydreaming Cool! Added. I just read “All the Dangerous Things” by her - also a good read 😊 13mo

Kayla Carter's husband dies in an accident while building their dream house, she knows she has to stay strong for their four-year-old daughter. Kayla's elderly new neighbor, Ellie Hockley has secrets that stretch back almost fifty years. Is Ellie on a quest to right the wrongs of the past? And does the house at the end of the street hold the key?

EadieB Told in dual time periods, The Last House on the Street is a novel of shocking prejudice and violence, forbidden love, the search for justice, and the tangled vines of two families. The story involves Ellie in 1965 (SCOPE's main purpose is to help Black people register to vote) and Kayla in 2010 (a young widow who has just moved into a house with her four-year-old daughter). 13mo
EadieB I love Diane Chamberlain's books and this one was about racial issues from the 60's. It's a story of love, courage and coming of age. If you like historical fiction then you would love this book. I'm looking forward to the next Diane Chamberlain book. 13mo
