A record number of members attended —35! 😱 We have the best bibliophiles, it went smooth and never let up, and no side conversations at all. Perfection 👌🏻👌🏻! The #NYCReads program & another one also had this book for their July read. Coincidence? 🙃 We had wonderful new members from Australia and Scotland join us! I was lucky to receive a copy of SHADOWHOUSE FALL at this year's BookExpo... and devoured it (and the novella that precedes it) in nine days. I didn't know it was possible to fall more in love with Sierra and her family and friends, but it was. The way Older weaves magic into the real life beauty and horrors of present day NYC is incredible. Read, read, read this series. #ya #bookexpo #ownvoices #latinxreads #nycreads #shadowshapercypher

I love walking through NYC in the past with the characters I'm reading about because I can visualize where they are walking. Another favorite of mine for this reason is The Best of Everything and Rules of Civility. What are your favorite New York books?!
