I‘ve been sitting on this for far too long. #guilty I‘m only a short way in but already I‘m hooked. #thehateugive #angiethomas

This book is so cute! 😻 #funfacts #narwhalandjelly #unicornofthesea #themoreyouknow
Just saw this tonight at B&N. Thoughts: GAH!! ❤️ #xfiles #mulder #scully #chriscarter
I like how Nancy Drew is keeping up with the fashions through the years. Good thing she's got her shearling slippers. #bookfashion #nancydrew #justsomethinginoticed
My hold just came in! 😁😁😁😁😁 #gentlemansguidetoviceandvirtue #Mackenzilee #ohhappyday

I read this collection a few years ago and it is exquisite. And I finally bought my own copy today! So many haunting tales from pre-1958, many of which stay with you long after you finish them. "Harry" by Rosemary Timperley and "Afterward" by Edith Wharton are my favorites. There's also an interesting backstory as to how this collection came about if you read the intro! #ghoststories #roalddahl #mcnallyjacksonbooks #supportindiebookstores
Reading two #snotbombs atm. The above and My Glory Was I Had Such Friends by Amy Silverstein. I'm not typically a cryer so I'm interested to see if either will spark any waterworks. 💦 I'm listening to #terabithia on audio so it will most likely be the winner. Which books have you read that have inspired an epic #cryfest?
I started Inkheart on audio, got like 60% through it and, sadly, decided I could not go on. I really dislike bailing on a book and I take it very seriously when I do. 😞 Lynn Redgrave was a good narrator too! I just could not get into the story. I found I wasn't excited to see what happened next. I'm sorry! Maybe it needs to be physically read. #inkheart #dnf #sorry
Ready to go! Been sitting on these for a while. #saga #briankvaughn #graphicnovels
What a cutie patootie! Diane has such a unique voice. She is friendly, accessible and FUN-ny! I am told that her real life voice is just as unique. I've never seen OITNB, so I went into this blind. I think the cover really drew me in as well as the timeliness of the topic. The heartfelt plea of her last chapter was especially poignant. This book ticks off several boxes on my bingo card... are we allowed to do that?! #litsyreadingchallenge2017
Finally completed this one for The Read Harder Challenge. It took me 13 days!!! Traditional superhero comics just aren't my thing. Unfortunately, this didn't tick anything off on my Litsy bingo card. Oh well! 🤷♀️#readharder #femalesuperhero #shero #captainmarvel #girlpower
I love walking through NYC in the past with the characters I'm reading about because I can visualize where they are walking. Another favorite of mine for this reason is The Best of Everything and Rules of Civility. What are your favorite New York books?!

Have never read anything by James Baldwin. I figured it was best to start at the beginning. #jamesbaldwin
This book has "girl(s)" in the title! #litsyreadingchallenge2017
To be the first finished book of '17 (it's a carryover from December tho!🙊)! Reading resolution this year is to complete the Litsy reading challenge!#readinggoals #catinabox
I loved this book! It is not a sports book. It is a book for everyone. A brilliant coming-of-age/into-your-own story. Ghost is original, humorous and realistic; He is skeptical, flawed and earnest; Just like the reader. I found the story inspiring in the end and I hope you do to!
Just wanted to add a picture for this title but didn't know how else to. I have fond memories of reading this as a child. 💙 #thecoldneverbotheredmeanyway
Two words: farting dragon 🐉💨🔥
This is an epic j-historical fiction told in the style of the Canterbury Tales and it is illuminated!! It is evident that an immense amount of research went into it, which is praise-worthy enough... Heavy at times but there are frequent laugh-out-loud moments. I admired it greatly and I am still lingering with the text in the days since I've finished it. Recommended for ages 10 & up, at least.
Finally finished up Crooked Kingdom. I was putting off reading the last hundred or so pages because I didn't want to finish it although I have an urgent tbr list considering the mock Newbery and Caldecott's are coming up. The ending was realistic "No mourners, no funerals" but the plotting and scheming are fantastical. A great escape. Re: picture, my cats enjoyed the books too ?
Good advice Colleen. Don't overthink it.
This book was a lot of fun! 💃🏽It's always fun to revisit P&P in different formats but they all make me want to go home and watch all 6 hours of Colin Firth and Jennifer Ehle.
It begins! 😬 Excited and nervous!
Rar! YA - you make me feel so melodramatic. But I secretly love it 😆
I liked this but I think I wanted to like it more. I am in *love* with the art. The story is intriguing but complicated. Professor Tam Tam (pictured) was very helpful in fleshing out the backstory.
Art Deco - Steampunk awesomeness! -- This cover really caught my eye so I had to read it.
Cholula and I are currently listening to Wolf Hollow by Lauren Wolk. Sometimes I think my spirit animal is tweenage historical fiction heroines.
I liked this entire trilogy! This is probably the slowest of all three and for that reason, I think I liked the first two a bit better. This volume rounded things out nicely without trying too hard. One is left feeling that the girls have a bright future but personally I don't feel like I have an urgent need to know what happens next like I did with The Graveyard Book.
Currently reading... puts me in mind of Wild Nights! by Joyce Carol Oates...
Excited to finally get around to this lovely lady!
