pickThis was one from @thereadingwomen 2017 shortlist. It was so incredible to begin understanding colonialism and imperialism from a non-British perspective. The research put into this book is pretty awesome. I‘d love to write like this someday. And the story is beautiful and tender and heartbreaking all at once. #ReadingWomenChallenge #RW2017shortlist
