pickThis was one of my most favorite series' as a teen! Terrible covers and all! A girl discovers and comes into her own powers when her family moves to New Salem and finds herself embroiled in murder, magic, and witchy machinations! I recently reread these, and was pleased to find that the books stand the test of time and are still among my favorites!

Found on my shelves. Although I've read most of Madeleine L'Engle's YA work (written before YA was even really a category), I haven't gotten around to her series of memoirs yet.
