I grew up watching Practical Magic, a movie based on a book that she wrote, and it was a dream to have the opportunity to talk to her. pickI did not think I would read an Alice Hoffman novel that rivaled The Dove Keepers but well, I was wrong!!! The World that we Knew is a historical fiction novel set in WWII with a slight fantasy twist that only Alice Hoffman can pull off and deliver a story that is both beautiful and emotional.
