This is probably one of my absolute favorite series. The books are so engrossing, that although usually 400-500 pages, they fly by. Agent Aloysius Pendergast of the FBI is unlike any FBI agent you‘ve ever come across. He is mysterious, complex and enigmatic with an interesting family dynamic.

Nute I am discovering so many books that I didn‘t know where parts of series thanks to the wonderful challenge from @Andrew65 ! I have wanted to read Relic for a very long time! (edited) 4y

Andrew65 @Nute It has been great in expanding everyone‘s knowledge of books and series out there. Been great to see all the posts but added so many series to my TBR. At some point in the future I intend doing #Top20Standalones 4y

Mollyanna @Nute and @Andrew65 Relic is a bit different than the others in the series. We, the readers, don‘t quite know who the main guy is. Is it Pendergast or d‘Acosta? Reliquary is really where we start learning about Pendergast. 4y

Mollyanna @Nute I agree! I have found so many new series and realized that certain books were part of a series. I thoroughly enjoyed this, but my TBR has expanded to exploding levels 😫. 4y

1st of all thanks for organising Andrew, it must have taken time to respond to everyone's posts + it has been huge fun.
My final post & i debated shd it be rebus, bosch, thorne but in the end i went for an author i saw a couple of times and he was just the nicest i have ever seen, colin dexter. The signature was to wish me a happy birthday. And what a tv portrayal, in which colin always appeared.

Andrew65 Morse on TV got me into my passion for Detective and Crime fiction. John Thaw did such a great job, and a great partner in crime in Lewis. Great tv. All the series you mentioned are great. Thanks fir participating it has been great fun and picked up a LOT of new series. At some point we will do #Top20Standalones. 4y

For this final day of #20Series20Days I thought I would highlight just a SMALL sampling of series owned, either in their entirety or almost, but not yet started. I could probably do 3 more collages like this. 😂 This was great fun, Andrew despite what you may have heard from my bank account.

Andrew65 The Adrian McKinty and Val McDermid series are excellent. I think I I could do at least 50 days! A great idea @Anderson 🤣 Apologies to all bookcases and bank balances out there. 😳🙈😱 But great fun. At some point to even things out we need to do #Top20Standalones.
