Pickpick

Impossible to review this trilogy as one book. I devoured all three of these books in a week, and that‘s over 1800 pages! Loved this series which I did as audiobook, although at some point want to read them all again as physical books,. Great story with some great characters and especially great to see a couple of very strong female leads! Although that being said my favourite character had to be Aidan, the artificial intelligence! More please!

MsMelissa So glad you loved it as much as I did! I really want an AIDEN book! 4y
wanderinglynn It sounds like an exciting read! Stacked! 4y
Andrew65 @wanderinglynn Hope you enjoy it. It got a few posts in #Top20Series. #20Series20Days (edited) 4y

Day 6 of #20Series20Days #Top20Series

This is quite possibly the book series of my entire life lol. I started it when I was 17 years old and it has been a presence in my life in some form ever since. I remember reading about the black characters that went to Hogwarts. This was probably the first magical ‘book world‘ I felt like I could actually be a PART of for that reason. It never quite lets go of my heart and I don‘t want it to. ♥️

Andrew65 This has been the most popular series, followed closely by The Hunger Games. 4y

The #20series20days reminded me I needed to finish Susan Cooper's Dark is Rising series. And I am in the mood for some middle grade fantasy.
Early in the novel there is a racist event where a man complains about all the Pakis coming to England and stealing jobs. The man's racist views are connected to evil on the rise. This novel was written in 1977. 😞 Everything he says sounds like things we hear today.

Day 5 of #20Series20Days #Top20Series

I feel that this series is an ACQUIRED taste! 😅😂 kind of like sushi or something. Lol! I love it! But I know not everyone would. Peronally, I wholeheartedly enjoyed it! There were witches and vampires and magical tomes etc. It was a lot of fun and left such an impression on me. Yet, there is just as much bad about this series as there is good and there are SOO many slow parts. Enjoy with caution 🤣

Lynnsoprano One of my favorites, but I hear you. Hubby thought it sounded interesting, got about 60 pages into ADOW and said no way. 4y
Andrew65 I own the firs5 one of these and keep meaning to read it. 4y

Day 4 of #20Series20Days #Top20Series

This series feels like HOME. It‘s the closest I can describe the feeling when I‘m reading one of these books. I‘ve read the entire series and reread at least part of each one several times. It has a special place in my heart. Each book has a different “feel” to it, so as a result there is something to love about each one. ♥️

Andrew65 A great series, loved by many. So fat I‘ve only read the first two. 4y
HOTPock3tt Yeah each one is like $1000 pages!! Took me forever to read them all 😅lol! 😂 @Andrew65 (edited) 4y
Mishu94 I loveeee the show! I wish I had known about the series before watching the show! Nothing beats Jamie Fraser! 😍😍😍😍 4y

The best for last.

This might not be my number one series, but it brings with it the story of how I got back to reading so it will always be on my #Top20Series

Day 3 of #20Series20days #Top20Series

Also a mystery series, yet this one is less “cozy mystery” and more action packed, sexual tension lol. Veronica Speedwell and her partner in crime Stoker solve crimes and go on adventures in Victorian England. Similar to last one I posted but this one is a bit spicier. The third book “A treacherous Curse” was just AMAZING and features on of my fave literary quotes. Can‘t wait for book number 6! 🙃

HOTPock3tt The literary quote: stokers evil ex wife quote to Veronica “We are the daughters of Hera, miss speedwell” that they would do anything to survive. Love love love!! 4y
PathfinderNicole Oh man I adore this series! 4y
HOTPock3tt @PathfinderNicole Same here! ♥️I thought the 5th one was going to be the last book. Man I was so excited when I heard there‘s going to be a 6th one!! 😃 4y
Andrew65 Another great series. 4y

Okay so I got behind on this, but still want to finish my #20series20days #top20series

Day 14: Flavia de Luce. Mysteries solved by a precocious girl who truly believes that her older sisters are trying to murder her. Flavia uses science and deduction to solve her crimes. I love these stories and Flavia.

Andrew65 A few people have included this on their list. I‘m yet to read this series. 4y
Mollyanna @andrew65 you should start it soon. Flavia is so much fun! 4y
Andrew65 Yes wish my library had them! 😡 4y
Mollyanna @Andrew65 that is frustrating! I‘ve been looking for the Ben Hope series that you‘ve recommended and my library doesn‘t have them. I‘m still on the hunt and I‘ve recommended them to library. 4y
Andrew65 @Mollyanna Very frustrating when libraries don‘t have them. A few series ai want to read that aren‘t in the library and don‘t always respond to recommendations. 4y

Another blast from the past. I devoured these books growing up and I really wish I had kept them all.

Maybe one day I'll hunt them down. My shelves can always use more nostalgia 😍😍

Birdsong28 Have you read the tagged book? it's about the twins when they are adults 4y
Andrew65 Another popular choice. 4y
ShelleyBooksie Same - I had the entire collection, I regret parting with them 4y
FantasyChick @Birdsong28 I haven't. I grabbed the ebook when it came out but never got around to it yet! @ShelleyBooksie If I knew then how much I would miss them, I never would have gotten rid of them 4y
