To quote the Ancient Aliens meme: I don't know, therefore Aliens!
I posted about two books finished today. I'm very much enjoying the Lethem but I am thinking it will need to hibernate for now as it is not compatible with my mood/mental space etc (will def come back as it is quite good), which leaves me with me mostly a clean slate except for one story collection which I am enjoying SO MUCH I ordered the physical copy. Will review (CONT)

vivastory when finished! Have no idea what my reading mood will be tomorrow & am going to follow my mood & build my TBR for the upcoming week (loosely) around what I need to do rather than have unrealistic expectations & end up reading very little during the week.

BarbaraBB I love that you can do that, I‘m such a control freak. 2d
vivastory @BarbaraBB I have been that way for YEARS, but have had to adjust recently due to work pressures, I'm such an eclectic reader and there are so many books I want to read I realized that I need to let my mood & upcoming work schedule dictate my TBR. Otherwise I just end up staring at my phone all night 😱 2d

Three books forecast for this weekend.

Forgotten Home Child for #ohCanada

Want I might DNF. I‘m at 50% and it‘s the third time I‘m borrowing this from Libby. Idk. Too spicy to read on the subway and I don‘t choose it when I‘m at home. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Network Effect is a great addition to the MurderBot series. Very happy to see ART again.

Lesliereadsalot Loved Salt Water. Cant wait to hear your thoughts. 2d
Ruthiella @Lesliereadsalot I‘m reading it because of your review! 😅 I‘m 80% done and don‘t love it the way you did. That is, unless the last 20% knocks my socks off. It is entertaining but slow and I don‘t appreciate multiple perspective storytelling generally. 2d
BookNAround Although there is certainly some problematic language and attitudes in the Christie Mallowan memoir, I thoroughly enjoyed it and hope you do too. 20h
Ruthiella @BookNAround Definitely the memoir reflects a less enlightened view of non-Europeans etc. which is also often found in her novels as well. 18h

L to R: Libby, Kobo, 📖Physical & 🎧Audible

There‘s been lots of major cleaning & very little reading taking place this week but, that being said, I have these open books for any downtime & 🎧some tasks.

ChaoticMissAdventures I thought The Third Gilmore was so well done, well written and I loved that Kelly Bishop reads the audio. 2d
DieAReader @ChaoticMissAdventures 💯% I 💖loved it!! 2d

I‘m enjoying the second whimsical rom com in the Only Magic in the Building series. I‘m reading a story a day in House Gone Quiet. I plan to start Nancy Drew 19 for the BR today. #weekendreads
