I've been too busy at #WisCon this weekend to post, so here's a picture of the group that participated in the Steven Universe Singalong. #LetMeDriveMyVanIntoYourHeart

Guest of honor reading by Saladin Ahmed is about to commence! The magenta bob to the right belongs to one Charlie Jane Anders. 😍 #WisCon

I borrowed this paperback to read before #WisCon, but then saw the Kindle version was on sale and bought it so I could return the paperback. Since switching over to digital, I've noticed I'm reading ~20% faster. 🤔

Does anyone else find that their reading speed varies by format?

JSW Yes, I skim more in digital. I immerse more and go slower in hard copy. I prefer to reread hard copy so I can bounce from section to section. It‘s interesting! 7y
WorldsOkayestStepMom I read faster on my kindle than print. 7y
tournevis I read faster on e-paper because I don't have to take as many breaks to rest my hands 7y

keys_on_fire That‘s so interesting. I feel like I read print faster, but maybe it just feels that way because i can manually turn the page and see the progress I‘m making. Maybe if I turned off the reading speed on my kindle books I wouldn‘t think about it so much and just READ. 😂😂 7y
Alicia I read faster on kindle too!!! I think it‘s bc I see my reading time counting down? I also think tend to skim a bit more too. 7y
LiterRohde I don‘t know about faster. That would be an interesting experiment. But I do know I have been reading a lot more since getting my Paperwhite recently. Convenient form factor, I think. 500+ books on one device, plus the option to download so many deals cheap or free from Amazon, Libby, NetGalley... (edited) 7y

This art, tho...😍

Side note: Is anyone else going to #Wiscon this year? Saladin Ahmed is a guest of honor!

Shadowfat I hadn't heard about it before! It's a little pricey but I might think about it 7y
2BR02B @Shadowfat Friday and Monday are free, if you want to check it out without paying the full $25 per day. 7y
