Just another lighthearted BSC mystery! These are fun to read to stay within the autumn/spooky/Halloween theme but as a break between heavier, creepier books.

(1987) I've never read a BSC book, figured it wasn't my thing, but I saw this one in PEN America's list of book bans and picked it up out of curiosity. Per PEN, it was banned from libraries in Missouri's Fox C-6 School District. The reason for the ban is unclear to me -- maybe it's because a 13- year old girl talks about her "skimpy" bikini? I notice someone has strategically placed a sticker on the cover of my library's copy...

This one brought back lots of memories from childhood.😆 For the #ominousoctober prompt “wicked”. #scarathlon #teamslaughter @Clwojick
The graphics in this book are amazing. You can tell when a character is moving and all their expressions on their face give so much meaning to the text.
I really enjoyed this comic. I never really read any comics but I did not realize how much a comic can rail you in and you want to read more and more.
An iconic Stacey book. Also Mary Anne is badass in this one: she stands up to Stacey for ditching the Pike kids to hang around the lifeguard, and she asks a boy out on a date!
Lol at how the cover artist drew Scott the hunky 18-year-old lifeguard to look about 30!
I picked this up because I have officially run out of graphic novel adaptations to read before season 2 of the Netflix show (which is great) arrives. We don't yet know when that will be or which books the show is going to adapt, so I chose a few of the novels that I think make sense for season 2. I thought I might be weird to pick up a novel after reading only the first novel and the rest in graphic novel format, but that was not the case at all.
⭐️⭐️⭐️ Oh, how I wanted to be like Dawn with a secret passageway in my house. I even made a friend search her own home with me in hope of discovery (no such luck).
Stacey gets sucked into a “summer love” and leaves Mary-Anne to pick up the slack...not cool, Stacey. Not cool. I get a kick out of these and they take me back.
