Every couple years I pick up a super hero comic thinking "maybe this will be the one for me!" It is very rare that it is for me.
This is fine. The art is great. But nothing made me want to continue the book. C'est la vie.

The Witch's Heart - Genevieve Gornicech
My favourite read of July. It's a retelling of a myth, so totally my jam, but to switch it up I moved from the usual Greek to Norse mythology.
This tells the story of Angrboda and Loki and it's wonderful. Everyone has a crush on Loki, whether it's the traditional of Marvel incarnation, but I really fell for Angrboda in this book.

Came home from the lake and found out the new Thor movie, Thor Love and Thunder, stars Natalie Portman as The Jane Foster Thor and I couldn't be happier!
How awesome is it that all those misogynist assholes out there that hated on this comic so vehemently and said it was horrible, and would flop because Thor shouldn't be a woman now have to suck it up as the new movie! 😅
Vengeance is so, so, sweet!
Still enjoying this series. Just heard they are doing these as a movie. I look forward to seeing it. There is already displeasure in some social media circles from people not happy Thor is a woman. Or not happy with the actress. And my favorite, this isn't what the original myths portrayed. As if any of the Marvel movies have stayed true to the myths. They should have a disclaimer of "Loosely based on" for all their movies. I'm still in.
A really satisfying end to Jane Foster‘s time as The Mighty Thor.
