I‘m visiting my son in South Georgia and he took his pops to a comic book shop. He took this sneaky pic cos he knows I go into a trance when I find a new spot to get comics n‘ stuff. I snagged the tagged book. I now have 2-5 of Peter David‘s Hulk Omnibuses…1 still alludes me…6a8 on eBay! Oh Lordy! Just got a new job…been self employed for 15 years, maybe I‘ll treat myself with my first pay-check

This was a fun graphic novel of Northanger Abbey.

I love almost everything by Kieron Gillen, but this volume of Immortal X-Men is badly hampered by the need for lots of exposition explaining stuff from Sins of Sinister. Also, Mother Righteous is a terrible charactet. I did like the scenes between Sinister and Xavier.

It's not a terrible idea to stitch together the prequels with the sequels by sending Vader to Exegol, but there's nothing particularly interesting about this story. The art is equally meh.

1. Saw the Thunderbolts/ New Avengers. It had really great depression rep. I've been having a hard time with my depression lately so I felt really seen. (The reason I haven't been super active on here)
2. I planted strawberries and snap peas
3. Finally got a membership to Costco
4. Rainbow drink from my local cafe
5. Croissants

Thanks go to Panda Redd for making me aware of this one's existence. Sure it's dark, sad and gorey, but it's also a rollicking bop though classic literature, (the Little Women kick Deadpool's ass: I appreciate this) and the recognition that a) The comic book characters we know best have some powerful antecedents b) stories matter 1/2

Like peanut butter and chocolate, DEADPOOL & WOLVERINE are fantastic together. I don‘t even really care what they do, I know it will always be gory and hilarious. When the mysterious villain Delta plunges the disparate duo into violent scenarios for wealthy elites' viewing pleasure, they get much more entertainment value than expected. Really fun!

The DEFENDERS have always been the STAR TREK to the AVENGERS‘ STAR WARS. Meaning, less bombastic and more weird and thoughtful. Led by Dr. Strange, a group of mystical misfits must delve deep into the pre-cosmos to counter a threat to existence itself! Bizarre in a good way, but not as great as other tales from this team I‘ve read in the past.
