Linear I wish i could do that. But i tend to get caught up in the world of the book and its story. It takes me a while to recover from one i really really like. Like i was rolling along fine and then i read the arcana chronicals, there where only two books in the series at the time. And then, i just got obsessed and couldnt get into any other book for 3 months. I just kept rereading those two lol 7y
