An old(er) man yaoi. My first reading about older couples. It was bit dark, auite realistic and all in all very lovable.

I love it when one book ties in with another one that I‘ve read recently! I just finished Value(s) by Mark Carney which also talked about the financial crisis of 2008 and, more specifically, ethical implications in the financial system.

I listened to this on radio 4 after a friend mentioned it.
So gut wrenching and so important that Persephone Books have republished.
I can't believe she wrote it before WW2. But also terrifying that it was so clear to her the outcomes.
We need so desperately to learn from history 😔

Good guidance for life.

Back in beautiful Bath Uk 🇬🇧 and yes 😆purchased a bagful of persephones from their wonderful bookshop one of which is this one newly re printed , Persephone do an amazing job of reprinting lost authors / works I have never read a bad one #Persephonebookclub #persephonebooks

Had a blast today at Queers and Quills book convention!
There is always stress about how organized things are and how good the attendees will be. But not only did a bunch of attendees give volunteers presents (goodie bags, bookmarks, candy), but everyone was just lovely 😍.
Not a big ❤️ reader I didn't know most of the authors but everyone today was so nice, and we were packed! I am excited to help out again next year!! What a success.
