I usually don't mind 1000 pages ling Stephen King novel but I was really strugaling with the last 100 pages. But it worth it and He is very excellent to write about ordinary people and how easy to manipulate them.

A quite good Second World War story from Pear S. Buck. But again, somehow I could not feel the deepness of the situation.

One of my favourite quote from a Hungarian book:

,,Those who love each other, search each other. Even if the wind blows them apart, they coming back on their knees. If the sea aparts them, they send their souls throught the ocean: they meet in letter."

It was so so so good! I never heard of this until I found it in the bookstore. It was advertised for those who love The Bell Jar by Sylvia Plath. Yes, it is quite similar but from a different perspective.

Ruthiella I read this as a teenager and loved it (and the movie too). 1mo

It was such a emotionally complex story. I could not blame anyone what they did because they were forced by their emotions. And I am so glad it was a happy ending I was so afraid it won't be.

By this far this is my least favourite Pearl S. Buck novel I have read. I didn't really feel the deepness of the story and the love. However, I did not know anything about the Jewish community in Chine, so I am glad I read it.

A quick crime reading after a classic. It was good a for one reading. My problem with many new English crime novels is that the twist is very easy and I can guess it in the first part of the book.

Many people said to me that this is a excellent book but I did not believe them. Anyway I read it and I was suprised that this is really a very good and easily readable novel. It reminded me to Witch Child by Celia Rees maybe because it is in the same time period.

I really love Margaret Atwood books. It was a very short story about Penelopeia, wife of Odesseus. She tells her side of the of well known story. It could have been a very long book about Greek women's life and status and all of the history but it was good as it was.

Ps. This book was very very expensive, however it is very short. I don't know what is going on in other countries but here books getting incredible pricy.

IuliaC I've noticed too that books are getting more and more expensive. The cost of living is rising and we're losing purchasing power 6mo
