This is a pick with caveats. It assumes you can speak community service lingo and does not always explain its terms. It‘s also not the most well written, but for a very specific audience of service program alums, of which I am one, it‘s a great story of how #americorps and #cityyear came to be and the author‘s vision for a push towards mandatory national service.
