Kirkman is a genius at plotting but less so at dialogue. After a while, Mark gets a bit trapped in a cycle of misery whenever he's not fighting aliens. Ottley's art is functional.

With the second season of Invicible out, I went back to read the original comic from the beginning. The plot is really good and the characters are inventive, but the show vastly improves the pretty terrible dialogue.

Enjoyed the Netflix series and now am enjoying the 40 issue series. They are a bit different but worth watching and reading.😍

Reggie @DivineDiana so glad you like the series. I haven‘t watched the series but the comics were soooooo good. Is the series dark? Cause the comics were dark. 5y

DivineDiana @Reggie I think they must have lightened it up some. Sweet tooth is adorable, and his kind presence shines through. The narrator lends a “once upon a time”, fairy tale feel to it. There is violence, but also lots of love. PG13 rating. (edited) 5y

Just added this to my kindle oasis. Have to read this series after watching the show. The show was amazing and I‘ve heard the comics are as well. Will finish this series before season 2 arrives.
