This is a cute story about kittens struggling to be taken seriously in the building trades. Marmalade is an architect, Sampson an electrical engineer, and Bubbles a plumber. Together they form Kitten Construction Company and build a new mayor‘s mansion.

My only complaint is they never do get taken seriously by most, but they do get some notice and a new project.

LibrarianRyan In book 2 they are joined by dogs, and they don't take the dogs seriously. 1mo
ravenlee @LibrarianRyan sounds interesting, but our library doesn‘t have book 2. 1mo
LibrarianRyan @ravenlee it may not be out yet. I had read a galley. You can always ask them to order it. Or ILL it. 1mo

Definitely #gratefulfor this man! My dad has been a constant supportive presence in my life, and I am so lucky to have him. I realize not everyone has great parents, which makes me feel extra fortunate! Right now we‘re doing a little #nightreading with the tv on, too. 😁👍🏻📚

Eggs What a great picture Meg! You 2 have the same great smile 😊👍🏼👏🏻💕 1mo
AmyG I did not have much of a dad. So this just makes me smile. ❤️ 1mo
Megabooks @Eggs Thank you!! 😁😁 We both look like his mother‘s family. His mother was a wonderful grandmother, and I even got to hear a new story from his childhood this trip. 👍🏻❤️ 1mo

Megabooks @Come-read-with-me I do feel better! I have some uncomfortable swelling in my throat that makes swallowing difficult, but otherwise I feel much better than before surgery. 1mo
Megabooks @kspenmoll 😊😊 1mo
Come-read-with-me @megabooks So glad to hear that you‘re feeling better. The swelling will go down but until then I think your version of ice cream and lots of books are called for! 1mo

Alphabet City | Stephen Johnson

“X and Y” These are my two favorite pictures from the book!

Alphabet City | Stephen Johnson

I would show this to a kindergarten class because most have just mastered the alphabet, and will probably have the most fun with this book. You can do so many activities with this book afterwards as well! For example, kids can get creative and design the first letter of their names. This is also a great opportunity to learn more about urban landscapes.
