Career of Evil | Robert Galbraith

Robin jumps off the pages in this book, even if it‘s sold as a Cormoran Strike novel. This book is grizzly and horrifying on a number of levels. Despite the evil depicted throughout, the main characters seem to be a bright light of hope. “I do” accept the task of reading Book 4 soon.

I think I liked this one. Definitely not 5 stars, but probably 4/5. The writing is excellent and the characters are really good. They weren‘t necessarily likable characters, so I think that‘s what made me withhold a bit. Really heavy language too, and I just don‘t particularly enjoy the.

Well written, but not really my style. I found The Cuckoo‘s Calling on my bookshelf and decided to give it a shot—not realizing it was a mystery, which isn‘t usually my genre. Still, it kept me turning the pages, and I was surprised by the ending. It‘s the first in a series, but I probably won‘t continue. Just not my cup of tea.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Intricate plot, a plethora of characters, side plots, personal lives, all connecting. I couldn‘t guess a damn thang that happened in this novel 😅 what a masterful storyteller. Dense book and the longest in the series so far and it flew by. Really hope Robin catches a break in the next one tho lol

Listening to this, narrated by Robert Glenister. Strike has found the missing man - but I'm only 1/3 through the book. Enjoying the story (set in London).

To the best of my knowledge, The Ink Black Heart at 1391 pages is the longest book I've read.

Another well-crafted and gripping addition to the Cormorán Strike detective series! Robin goes undercover in a cult to work on the case for Colin edensor trying to save his son Will. She endures starvation, humiliation, near drowning and sexual encounters to try to find an angle to disempower this malevolent group posing as do-gooders. Learning about what really happened to the Drowned Prophet will unveil the truth and prove criminal action.
