I was at Winners today to find a dress for this Saturday's back-to-back events (funeral straight to a wedding, it creates a bit of a fashion dilemma!). This was staring at me in the checkout line, and I just HAD to have it.
The tagged is this month‘s read for the LGBTQ+ book club I am a part of. The meeting is today and I‘m only about 1/3 of the way through. It is a slough. A lot of prior knowledge is assumed. It could be made so much better with a “cast” list. I‘m digging in while I wait for my partner‘s dissertation defense. We‘ll see how far I get. At least it‘s taking all my focus and making me a bit less anxious as a result.

pickAs a lover of Degas and ballet, it was a pleasure to read this book that investigates the identity of the girl who modeled for the Little Dancer statue. The author also provides a history of the ballet dancers in Paris and her personal interest in this subject. The author did a very nice job humanizing the model. 🩰 #MountTBR
Hawk and his brethren were the top motorcycle club in Detroit. They did things on the up and up, but when the body of one of their strip club dancers is found dead behind the club, things start to get a little shaky.
