I did a search for good but underrated mystery books and these sounded interesting - let me know what you think j @TheAromaofBooks @robinb @bookandbedandtea

robinb These all sound good, Denise! Judging from blurbs I‘d probably go with Jar City, The Midnight Witness, Northern Spy and then the Woodstock…but I‘m good with the consensus. 😊 1w
bookandbedandtea I've read Jar City and Northern Spy. Either of the other two sound good to me! 1w
Jerdencon Any preferences @TheAromaofBooks? 1w
TheAromaofBooks I haven't read any of these, so I am fine with whichever one works best!! Probably a slight inclination to The Midnight Witness out of the two that @bookandbedandtea hasn't read yet. @robinb 1w

Not in my top favorites of the year but still a good read. In The Year of Second Chances the MC Robin learns that her deceased husband set her up a dating profile for her to move on a year after his death. The book follows her along the journey of really dealing with her grief and ultimately finding herself with what is next. She learns it's ok to take care of yourself after she's taken so much time caring for everyone else.

Not the kind of thing I'd recommend to everyone, but if you're considering "putting yourself out there" and feeling unsure, this book can serve as a nice little pep talk from an expert that could help ease your mind and know what to expect. I was already thinking about dating again for the first time in 4 years when I started this. It made me feel better about that decision and now I'm happily dating and feeling better about it than ever before ?

Fabulous YA debut about mental health/depression, friendship and love, family and our place in the cosmos.

For #ThreeListThursday, I‘m sharing my 3 favorite nonfiction books and explaining their impact on me. I tagged one of the books that I mentioned. I didn‘t realize these books had such an impact on me but once I started sharing about these books, I couldn‘t stop. I still have regrets about how I behaved during my breakup and I‘ve had a hard time forgiving myself for it but it was a long time ago so I‘m moving forward and trying to forget about it.

dabbe I am completely humbled by your willingness to share with us your heartfelt struggles. I'm also so glad that you are now in a good place of peace! Thanks so much for sharing. 💚💙💚 4mo

The first in this series didn't grab me. I liked the artwork but the story was a bit slow and disjointed.

Liked the story and how it ended. A relationship is something to work on if you‘re into it, let it go if you‘re not on the same page.

So true, at some point you have to try it before you buy it.
