“Slow and steady wins the race.”
I would use this fable in my classroom to teach students about the importance of taking their time while doing their work and kind of use it as a learning moment.

As historic and fun as these fables are, we should move on from them. These fables are sexist because all of the stories only have male characters. They are innocent, but we have to move on from them.

This story is wonderful to teach students about the dangers of being overconfident and the fact that even if someone says they‘re better than you it doesn‘t make it true.
This is a story that I clearly remember my mother reading to me as a child, so it was nice to reading it again. This is a story with a great message that transcends though time. I the illustrations in this copy were really good and I really enjoyed them.
Traditional literature
“The Tortoise meanwhile kept going slowly but steadily, and, after a time, passed the place where the Hare was sleeping.“
This story teaches children the value of perseverance to keep trying, and to not give up. Very important messages can be taught with this book and will build students confidence in overcoming challenges.
A lively retelling of the classic tale. This book has vibrant illustrations and engaging dialogue. I love this story because it highlights the moral that “slow and steady wins the race.“
