To keep this book related I tagged my current read, which is for both #AuthorAMonth and #AuldLangSpine.
But really just look at these amazing portraits of my furkids! Aren‘t they perfect? Link to the artist, she‘s local to me and just such a wonderful artist and person!

Very loosely linked to “Snow White,“ but I was reminded more of the show “House.“ Anja is a problem solver more than a healer, awkward and blunt, but deeply committed to saving people with her knowledge of poisons and antidotes. When she's asked to discover what's ailing the King's daughter, she discover a bizarre, often horrifying world far beyond her rational, scientific knowledge.

I really liked Sophia who was delightfully strong and determined. Romance wasn't really well developed but it was okay - could have been without it too. I also really liked some minor characters and some banter made me even laugh.

Starting Nettle & Bond tomorrow for #AuthorAMonth. It will be my first Kingfisher so I have no idea what to expect.
Picked up The Paris Express after setting it aside early last year. So far I‘m finding it more engaging. Washington I‘m reading a few chapters a day. Liking Mob Queen and Shirley is a bit of a slog so far. Next up should be my library books for TOB26. It feels like it should be a good reading week.

Rhea, the plucky 15 year old daughter of a miller, finds out that a nobleman she has never even met has asked to marry her. This already makes no sense to Rhea and when she finally meets him she knows something is off. Then she discovers he already has six wives… Fast paced and entertaining but more YA than I was expecting. A light pick for this month‘s

Such a cute book! Love the graphics. There's thing fancy strange woman that a guy wants to impress. He tries everything but fails. However, something simple might be able to catch her eye. Adorable!

Finally, FINALLY starting the most popular stand-alone by one of my favorite authors ever! I can't believe it took me this long to start it, but I am now! This is going hand-in-hand with my New Year's resolution to stop following my lists to the letter and let out my inner mood reader.
